A British diver recently filmed underwater footage of plastic waste and garbage in the waters off the coast of Bali. The video went viral on social media and focused attention once again on the environmental destruction inflicted on Bali. In 2003, remains of 3-feet tall humans believed to have existed some 12,000 years ago and nicknamed "hobbits" because of their height were first uncovered in an Indonesian cave. More than a decade after the discovery, investigations reveal that the hobbits (scientific name: Homo florsiensis) may have existed much earlier, or about 50,000 years ago. Trigana Air's cargo Boeing 737-300 PKG-YSG plane skid off runway as a result of take-off failure in Sentani Airport, Jayapura, Eastern Indonesia, on Tuesday morning, 25 February 2020. The cargo was carrying 16,6 ton gasoline and heavy materials. This incident caused damages in several wills and left machine of the airplane. No injuries are reported. The plane was taking off on 07.37 AM, Eastern Indonesian Time when an unidentified disruption caused the front-wheels to slip and ran off the runway. Cabin crews were immediately evacuated 3 minutes after. The cause of this incident is still unknown. Indonesia's National Transportation Safety Committee is still processing the investigation. Boeing jet airliners have been involved in several fatal incidents in the past years, including the fatal tragedy of two crashes in Boeing's 737 Max that has killed 346 people.
